Bhairav kunda trek is a newly opened trek into the high grounds of Nepal. This fascinating trek is a classical trek that led us to some of the most exotic natural and cultural beauty of Nepal. Bhairav Kunda trek offer beautiful Himalayan scenery, Holy Bhairav kunda, lush valley and beautiful landscape. Bhairav Kund - means in Sanskrit a holy lake named after a destructive name of lord Shiva the "Bhairav". This holy trek is famous for both national and international trekkers throughout the world.
Bhairav kunda trek starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Jalbire. We observe the different ways of life, culture and come in contact with the people in the small village, passing through the dense forestations and meadows. The top of Bhairav kunda offers an excellent view of Rolwaling range, jugal Himal arrange and some of the Tibetan mountain as well. Throughout the trek we observe some of the best natural scenery and cultural hub. Bhairav Kunda trek is a holy trek that takes us to the holy and hidden shrine of lord Mahadev. Commencing this delighted trek will let you enjoy the classic scenery throughout along with the hospitality of the inhabitants.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m).
Day 02: Drive 88 km from Kathmandu (1,400 m) to Jalbire (1,000 m).~ Drive 4-5 hours
Day 03: Trek from Jalbire trek to Chanaute (1,350 m).~ 4hours walk.
Day 04: Trek from Chanaute to Khani Gaon (2,000 m).~ 6hours walk.
Day 05: Rest day with Local Village sightseeing.
Day 06: Trek from Khanigaon to Forest Camp (3,150 m).~ 6-7 hours walk
Day 07: Trek from Forest Camp to Pati (3,765 m).~ 5 hours walk
Day 08: Trek from Pati to Bhairab Kunda (4,250 m).~ 3 hours walk
Day 09: Trek from Bhairab Kundato to Sherpa gaon (2,500 m).~ 6-7 hours walk.
Day 10: Trek from Sherpa Gaon to Larcha (1,500 m) and visit Hot spring (Kodari highway).~ 4 hours walk
Day 11: Drive from Larcha to Kathmandu.~ Drive by bus 5-6 hours
Day 12: Full day sightseeing and cultural tour around Kathmandu valley.
Day 13: Farewell Friends!!!
When you travel to the new place for your holiday, food is concern able part of travel. While, traveling with Yarsa treks, you can experience the delightful cuisine of typical Nepali food, continental food, Italian food, Chinese food and different international cuisine. You will be suggested by your guide for good food during your trip. During the trek do not order many dishes and waste food, they have to cater more trekkers before they run off stuck. It is very hard and takes week or more for caravan and porter to brings the food in these places. You will take lunch in route side, breakfast and dinner will arrange in the same lodge/Tea house.
During the trek you can get the bottled water but it is hard to dispose plastic and it will be the big problem for environment. We will provide purified mineral water during trek. In tea house you can get bottle water and mineral water in additional cost. It will better to drink mineral water rather than bottled water.
We provide you best touristic hotel in Kathmandu with best location. During the trek tea house is main accommodation for trekkers. A tea house is combination of lodge and restaurant. In the tea house lodge are fairly basic, some tea house you can get separate room but in the high altitude rooms are spare with two beds with blanket and little additional furniture. There will be large dining room where you can get the warm by Bukhara stove. In the tea house there will be the solar electricity but these days most of the tea houses have electricity for charge Camera, Mobile phones and other small appliances.
Things to take:
This is very active trip we can’t stay in same place. You can take very light and necessary things. You will get porter he will carry maximum 30 kg it means 2 trekkers=1 porter. Porters are allowed to carry maximum 30 kg of your stuff. Porter will carry your necessary stuff in duffel bag.

Health & Fitness:
These treks are some of moderate and some of strenuous, passionate trekkers should have ability to walk for 4-7 hours a day. Trekking to the high altitude is more challenging than the low altitude. To complete the trip we have good health, average physical fitness, passionate, confidence, determination and positive attitude. If you have past hiking experience or exercising habits it will be the better for your trek. If you have pre-existing health problem such as lung, heart and other diseases it is better to consult with your doctor or inform Yarsa treks before booking the trip.
Suitable Time to Trek:
For Trekking to the high altitude we should concern about the weather condition. Autumn (Sept-Nov) and spring (March-May) is the best season for trekking in Himalayas. Trekking in summer and Monsoon (June-Aug) is affected by rain. You can also trek in winter but tempters could be most harsh for most trekkers.

If you’re confused to pack up your necessary things just see in the check list tab. Bring light and necessary things. You will need medium size bag to carry your daily usable stuff. The weather is subject to change in high altitude so layered clothing is recommended throughout the trek.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Valley (1,400 m).
Warmly welcome to Nepal. Upon your arrive we will receive you and assist you to hotel. After getting rest and refreshed we will take you for dinner in Nepali restaurant with cultural show. Rest overnight.
Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Jilbire (1,000 m).
Today we will have scenic drive about 4-5 hours to Jilbire. During the trip we head to northeast with magnificent mountain view and beautiful valley of Bhote Koshi; which is very famous for white water adventure. After reaching to Balaphi we drive through Dusty road until Jilbire. Next, we reach Jalbire and explore the beautiful Newari village and rest over night at camp.
Day 03: Trek from Jalbire to Chanaute (1,350 m).
Today we walk for 4 hours to reach Chanaute. During the trek we walk through dense forest and pass through small Tamang villages and stunning waterfalls. Next, we will reach Chanaute village, in this village mostly inhabitants are Brahimin and Chettri. We will set tent, explore around and enjoy the great mountain view. Rest overnight.
Day 04: Trek from Chanaute to Khani Goan (2,000 m).
Today is one of the challenging day for walking. We will walk for 6hour to reach Khani Goan. Trail ascends to ridge, pass small cultural village and walk near of local school. We walk through terraced field and rhododendron forest with the view of snowy mountains. Khani Goan is a cultural Newari village also known as Dalle Pokhari after its cute Lake situated near the school. Explore the Newari village and rest overnight.
Day 05: Rest and exploration day in Khani Goan.
Today we will visit some important places in Khani Goan and visit the local people. Here we can see the unique culture, lifestyle and ethnic custom of local people. This place is important according to historical view “Before unite of Nepal middle of the 18th century there was war between Gorkha and Bhaktapur people from Bhaktapur field here and eventually settled”. After exploration prepare for tomorrow trek rest overnight.
Day 06: Trek from Khani Goan to Forest Camp (3,150 m).
Today we steep walk uphill climbing, so we will take rest on the way and way up with the enjoyable view of surroundings. You will get the chance to experience of trekking in forest of Nepal. If we are lucky we will see the some birds and wild animals during the trek. Next, we will set camp at forest and rest overnight.
Day 07: Trek from Forest Camp to Pati (3,765 m).
Today also trail climb uphill through rhododendron forest and enjoy the surrounding views. We steep climb up hill about 4 hours with the great view of snow capped mountains. We take rest and overnight at rest houses for pilgrims of Bhairav Kunda.
Day 08: Trek from Pati to Bhairav Kunda (4,250 m).
Today we walk for an hour to get uphill and walk for 2 and half hour to reach our destination Bhairav Kunda. Bhairav Kunda is holy lake for Hindus, Bhairav means “destructive form of lord Siva” and Kunda means “Lake” it is the important pilgrim destination of hindus. Once a year in June/July pligrime come to pay their respect and take bath at holy lake. Rest overnight at tent.
Day 09: Trek from Bhairav Kunda to Sherpa Goan (2,500 m).
Today we walk to uphill where magnificent view of Jugal himal (8,013 m), Langtang Lirung (7,234 m), Rolwalling range, Gauri Sankhar (7,134 m) and Tibetan range will welcome you. After majestic view of Himalayas trail descend for 5-6 hours through dense forest of rhododendron and pine forest. Next, we will be Sherpa Goan. We will explore around Sherpa village and rest overnight.
Day 10: Trek from Sherpa Goan to Larche (1,500 m).
Today is our last day of walking and we follow the trail down through the bank of Bhote Koshi. Next, we will reach to Larche and walk for 30 minutes to natural hot spring Tatopani and get back to our campsite.
Day 11: Drive from Larke to Kathmandu (1,400 m).
Today we drive to Kathmandu. On the way there is the famous adventure sport available such as Bungee Jump and Rafting if you are interested in these sports pick up our adventure sport package and let us know we will arrange the whole. We pass through Dolal Ghat which is very famous for local fish (fish dishes) from Himalayan river Sunkoshi and Bhote Koshi. Next we will reach Kathmandu and rest overnight.
Day 12: Sightseeing day in Kathmandu valley.
Today you are going to visit some UNESCO world heritage sites such as Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath. After visiting these places you are free for shopping in Thamel (Big market for handy craft). Enjoy the evening in Thamel and rest overnight.
Day 13: Farewell Friends!!!
Today service of Yarsa treks going to end. So, we will assist you to airport for your final departure.
