Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of the most popular treks in the world. Mt Annapurna (8,091 m) is the 10th highest peak in the world and the mountain has many peaks namely Annapurna I, II, III, IV which are categorized successively according to their elevation. It moves through beautiful valleys, terraced farmlands, scenic cascades, lush forest covered with varieties of colorful rhododendron. Annapurna Base Camp trekking offers you the most magnificent mountain views of some of the world's highest mountains like  Annapurna I (8,091 m), Annapurna South (7,219 m), Machapuchhre (6,993 m) and Hiunchuli (6,441 m) lying on the Himalayas. 

Annapurna Base Camp trail is one of the classic and most popular trekking destination in Nepal. Autumn and spring are the best seasons for trekking in Nepal. Pokhara, a beautiful city of turquoise lake well equipped with facilities like star hotels, equipment rental shops, night clubs, resorts and many more is the major tourist hub after Kathmandu in Nepal. The trail encounters the view point at Poon hill to observe spectacular Mountain View of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna Himalayan range and many other snowcapped peaks. While trekking in Annapurna region to explore the cultural villages of Ghandruk or Landruk, you will delighted by hospitality of the Gurung people and get opportunity to observe their typical culture.

15 days Annapurna Base Camp trekking starts from Pokhara. From Pokhara you drive up to Nayapul and trek through beautiful villages, farmlands and lush vegetation up to Ghorepani. In Ghorepani you will climb Poon hill, which is one of the best view point in the Annapurna region. From Ghorepani you trek up to the Chomrong and then entering the Modi Khola valley you will commence towards Annapurna Base Camp. From ABC you can get phenomenal sunrise view and 360 degree Mountain View. You will also get to experience hot spring bath to get relaxed after long trekking. Annapurna region trekking is a tea house trekking where you will get well facility.

Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival Day (1,400 m).

Day 02: Sightseeing day in Kathmandu

Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (835 m).

Day 04: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikha Dhunga (1,577 m).~ Drive 1 hour, 3-4 hours trek

Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2,853 m).~ 5-6 hours

Day 06: Trek to Tadapani (2,630 m).~ 6 hours

Day 07: Trek to Chhomrong (2,170 m).~ 5-6 hours 

Day 08: Trek to Dovan (2,505 m).~ 5-6 hours

Meals:
When you travel to the new place for your holiday, food is concerned part of travel. While, traveling with Yarsa treks, you can experience the delightful cuisine of typical Nepali food, continental food, Italian food, Chinese food and different international cuisines. You will be suggested by your guide for good food during your trip. During the trek do not order many dishes and waste food, they have to cater to more trekkers before they run off stock. It is very hard and takes a week or more for caravan and porters to bring the food in these places. You will take lunch in route side, breakfast and dinner will be arranged in the same lodge/Tea house.

Drinking Water:
During the trek you can get the bottled water but it is hard to dispose plastic and it will be the big problem for environment. We will provide purified mineral water during trek. In tea houses you can get bottled water and mineral water in additional cost. It will be better to drink mineral water rather than bottled water.

Accommodations:
We provide you best touristic hotel in Kathmandu/Pokhara with best location. During the trek tea house is main accommodation for trekkers. A tea house is combination of lodge and restaurant. In the tea house lodges are fairly basic, in some tea houses you can get separate room but in the high altitude rooms are spared with two beds with blankets and little additional furniture.  There will be large dining room where you can get the warmth by Bukhara stove. In the tea houses there will be solar electricity but these days most of the tea houses have electricity for charging camera, mobile phones and other small appliances.

Things to take:
This is very active trip we can’t stay in same place. You can take very light and necessary things. You will get a porter who  will carry 30 kg which means 2 trekkers=1 porter. Porters are allowed to carry 30 kg of your stuff. Porters will carry your necessary stuff in a duffel bag.

Altitude Map & Route Map:

Health & Fitness:
These treks are some of moderate and some of strenuous.Passionate trekkers should have ability to walk for 4-7 hours a day. Trekking to the high altitude is more challenging than the low altitude. To complete the trip we should have good health, average physical fitness, passion, confidence, determination and positive attitude. If you have past hiking experience or exercising habits it will be the better for your trek. If you have pre-existing health problems such as lungs, heart and other diseases, it is better to consult with your doctor or inform Yarsa treks before booking the trip.

Suitable Time to Trek:
For trekking to the high altitude we should concern about the weather condition. Autumn (Sept-Nov) and Spring (March-May) are the best seasons for trekking in Himalayas. Trekking in Summer and Monsoon (June-Aug) is affected by rain. You can also trek in winter but temperatures could be  harsher for most trekkers.

Important Notes:
If you’re confused to pack up your necessary things just see in the check list tab. Bring light and necessary things. You will need medium size bag to carry your daily usable stuff. The weather is subject to change in high altitude so layered clothing is recommended throughout the trek.

Day 01:  Arrival day in Kathmandu(1,400 m).
Arrive in Kathmandu and drive to hotel. After you’re arrived in airport, we will receive you and take you to the hotel. After getting rest you can visit beautiful colorful market and rest overnight at hotel.

Day 02:Kathmandu Valley full day sightseeing.
Today we will provide you experienced guide to visit world heritage places Swayambhunath (known as monkey temple), Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, Darbar squares and sightseeing places. Rest overnight.

Day 03:Drive (200 km) from Kathmandu to Pokhara (835 m).
We travel in a private Bus/Car to the Pokhara. On the way we can see famous for rafting Trishuli river. Edge of the Trishuli River leads you to Munglin, after crossing the Trishuli River. We travel all the way to west, after 4hours from Trishuli bridge we will be in Pokhara. Before end of the day we visit some sightseeing places of Pokhara. Prepare for tomorrow trekking and rest overnight.

Day 04:Drive (42 km) from Pokhara to Nayapul and trek to Tikhe Dhunga (1,577 m).
We drive to Nayapul and then start trek from Nayapul itself trekking for 4 hrs. Today Bus/Car will drop us Nayapul. After that we start our 4 hour trekking to Ulleri and stay overnight.

Day 05:Trek to Ghorepani (2,853 m).
Today we trek 6 Hrs a day. After short brief about route and safety our trails moves through rhododendron and oak forest. Hilarious view of natural beauty gives you energy to walk. Next, few hours with several breaks we will reach to Ghorepani. From here we can see beautiful view of Dhulagiri and the Annapurna Himalayas. Stay overnight at Ghorepani.

Day 06:Trek to Tadapani (2,630 m) through Poon hill (3,210 m).
Today early in the morning after having breakfast trek up to Poon Hill (3,210 m) and trek to Tadapani. Our trails starts through rhododendron forest and walk almost 1hour to reach Poon hill. from here we can see panoramic view of high Himalayas stretching from far western Dolpo, and Dhaulagiri in the northeast part. Next our trails moves through numeric ridge and pine rhododendron forest. We have to walk through the flat section and see the beautiful view of peaks from high ground. After few walk we will be in Tadapani. Explore the Tadapani and stay overnight.

Day 07:Trek to Chhomrong (2,170 m).
Today we trek for about 5 Hrs. After breakfast and short brief we start our trekking all the way to Chhomrong. Before suspension bridge of Kimrong khola our trail turn to Chiule. Next we climb forestry modi khola (glacier water of Annapurna) valley after one and half hour walk will leads us to beautiful agricultural village Chhomrong, which is largest settlement of valley. From here we can see Annapurna range, Hiunchuli and upper valley and rest overnight.

Day 08:Trek to Dovan (2,505 m).
Today we trek for about 5 Hrs. After breakfast we start our trail to Dovan. When we cross Chhomrong  khola our trails ascend to Sinuwa village and then enters the Modi khola valley through rhododendron and oak forest. Next trail drop to the village of bamboo (2,310 m) on the bank of the river. We continue walk through uninhabited forest to Dovan. Explore the Dovan and stay overnight.

Day 09: Trek to Deurali (3,200 m).
We trek about 4 Hrs. Today we start our trail to Deurali. On the way we have to pass through bamboo forest. Ascending uphill we will be in Himalayan village from here altitude starts we can see only small bush not the tall trees. It takes 2hour to reach Deurali. After Himalayan village we will reach Hinku cave to Deurali (3,200 m) and rest over night. 

Day 10:Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m).
After Annapurna base camp we will trek back to Deurali (3,200 m) trek about 6 Hrs. After short brief about route and safety our trails moves to steady climb and sticks to a steeps and rocky cliff. Next, we have to walk flat path, we can see beautiful view of Hiun chuli (6,441 m), Annapurna range, Gandarvachuli (6,248 m) and so on. Next our trail turns left and ascends to Annapurna base camp. In annapurna base camp we are surrounded by magnificent peaks.  After beautiful view of Annapurna base camp we will back to Deurali. Stay overnight at Deurali.

Day 11: Trek back to Chhomrong (2,170 m).
Today our trail moves all the way back to Chhomrong. We have to pass through uninhabited village Dovan, Bamboo forest and Hinku cave to reach Chhomrong. On the way we can see different types of birds, rhododendron bush, and strawberries (we can eat them). Almost 6 hour walk from Annapurna base camp will leads us to beautiful agricultural village Chhomrong and Rest overnight.

Day 12:Trek to Tolka (1,700 m).
After some ascend and descend will leads us Jhinu danda where hot water pool is located. Next, crossing the kgyanmu khola, modi khola bridge and crossing scattered trees and bushes we will be in Tolka village. We can see the beautiful view of Annapurna south and Hiun chuli and stay overnight.

Day 13:Trek back Dhampus (1,600 m) and Phedi and Drive to Pokhara.
Today we start our trek from Tolak village to Phedi . On the way you can see different cultural variation, beautiful landscape and green forest. Our trails move through Dhumpas village where different ethnic groups are live (Brahmin, Chhetri, Magar, and Gurung). Next, all the way down to Phedi with the stairs. From the way you can see exciting view of Pokhara valley and Phewa lake. After 3 hours we will be in Phedi. From Phedi Bus/Car will pick you up you to Pokhara and rest overnight at Pokhara.

Day 14:Drive back to Kathmandu 200 km.
Today we will leave Pokhara and drive back to Kathmandu. When you reach Kathmandu there will be celebration in Nepali restaurant on successful completion of your journey. Overnight at hotel. 

Day 15:Final Departure.
Today yarsa treks will drop you to International airport before 3 hours of your departure. There will be the farewell program before your departure.
